If you are purchasing roller chain don't forget the importance of having extra master links.  The roller chain connecting links are available in various materials, Steel, Nickel Plated, Dacromet Coated and Stainless.  As the name suggests, a roller chain connecting link is essentially a linking device that is used to connect two ends of a roller chain together. These connecting links are also referred to as the master links. 

  • Larger connecting links from #80 and up often are provided as a cotter style rather than the standard spring clip.
  • Match up the quality of the chain you are using with the same quality connecting and offset links.
