SB insert bearings are made from 52100 series bearing steel. The SB insert has a spherical OD which allows it to self-align when mounted in various types of mounted bearing housings. The SB insert bearing has a flush back face which makes it ideal for positions where space is limited. It features a metal-faced rubber seal which keeps lubricant in while keeping contaminants out. The seal is crimped in place on the entire circumference of the outer ring.

Because this style insert is commonly used in pressed steel housings without grease fittings, SB insert bearings come standard as a non-greaseable insert and are considered to be Lubed-for-Life.
